Solo project

Why I built this:
My partner works in AI development and wanted to build a private chat assistant for us to use at home — similar to ChatGPT, but our own. I offered to design the UI, which gave me the chance to create something real together with him, while exploring a visual style that was entirely my own.

Design inspiration:
For Tifi's visual identity, I drew inspiration from ancient Greek pottery and architecture — warm terracotta, sand, and deep brown tones instead of the typical blue-and-white tech palette. The name itself is a play on 'tiefer Finder' (German for 'deep finder').

References:
Since this was a UI-focused project, I skipped traditional user research and instead looked at visual references. I used Mobbin to study how existing AI chat apps structure their interfaces, and experimented with color gradients until I found a look that fit the logo.

Conclusion:
I'm happy with how Tifi turned out, especially the visual identity. I'm still not 100% sure the color palette is the right fit, but that uncertainty was part of what made this project a good design exercise.
